Just a Day Trader

 Monday  -Did not trade, catch up day from vacation Tuesday -Market looking super strong again, very clear breakouts happening. Seems like a big day in the works/continuation -Big moves to start my day, caught clear win on RBLX and ASO. PLTR waiting.  -Market is not a clean read. QQQ choppy, fakey, TICK straight down. Seems like profit taking kinda scenarios given last couple trading days. Still tho names on watch move well. In DASH, Out ASO small W. Lost vwap and broke lower.  -Have the urge to take off early. These are great names in great locations with great intraday action, BUT still market theme has been to stuff breakouts and since im a day late into this new run up, seems likely things want to PB. There is a clear theme right now in PLTR and RBLX following 20ma on 1min, I will use as other partial to take some off.  -Turned out to be an excellent call, both PLTR and RBLX lost it same time and quickly sold off to vwap.  Monday     -Starting this day with things gapping down. I have a good number of shorts im looking at. I dont want to chase so ill need to be patient here and wait for something good. Market still at ATHs still reasons to buy the dip on anything.      -Very odd start to this week. The daytradable shorts I had all faked lower and reversed ripping new HOD. The slow swing only shorts I had straight lost there levels and continued the sell off. I can not find anything significant about daily charts that would tell me reasons this is happening (volume, VA, News, earnings, relative weakness, multi breaks). It seems to just be happening that way. Kinda sucks as im gonna miss some decent wins on the swing short side. But again im not comfortable chasing in this kind of environment.      -Ended up not doing a thing on shortside, definitely missed some decent moves.  Starting this week on Wednesday, came back from wedding, no time to sink in and finish what I needed to to get back to trading. But now im here. Wednesday      -W as good. I was not bringing my A game, did not get in all the time I wanted to get ready for the day, but had enough. Had my watchlist and levels.     -Shorts were the name of the game today, SPOT and FUTU gave me great moves. Very clear sell tape, and very clean price action. A+ trades with good management and adds.      -Other longs were swing only. Nothing special since market obviously weak all day, but FTV showed good rel strength through it. CHK failed, RTX was holding up ok, it lost vwap and I didnt have size on yet so I gave it a chance to pull in to possibly reclaim,      -EOD, SPOT ripped faces off, not gonna hold that one, FUTU reset gave me re entry, failed breakdown but regained some at bell, small risk worth holding.  Back to these. Pretty rough week for me. Wifes brother was getting married this weekend in GA, so having that in the back of my head was a bit of a distraction. I have gotten better with not letting outside things take up mental capacity so theres really no excuse to be made there.  -Missed the huge wins, took all the losses.     -I missed the wins because I refused to trade them. I either didnt want to get in due to large spread, or didnt want to chase and wait for pb to retest.      -Im reading a book called the mental game of trading by Jared Tendler. Somewhat of a new book out there thanks to Chat with Traders, I got it. It is helping me analyze the emotional mistakes we make and identifying triggers that cause them.     -So this is helping me recognize some issues with my line of thinking.     -BOTTOM LINE. Hello all.  Last blog post was in late may, here we are late July. Since that last daily journal post I have -Finished my backyard flagstone patio -SERIOIUSLY mellowed out on trading -Hosted a big birthday bash -Got my wife pregnant -Told everyone about it -Signed up for brazillian jiu jutsu -Playing some bomb ass baseball still -Explored job opportunities and found nothing will satisfy me unless I can fit trading into it. -Continued trading day in day out, with much less stress on process -Applied to SMB Capital -Started to want to do reviews again and more process work So lets dig in.
