2nd Half Update

So much life. Trading halted for last few months. Last trade I took was August 29. Bills caught up, expenses too large. I couldnt stay in the game mentally knowing I had to keep draining my trading account to pay the bills.  Im up $12000 on the year. I had a great year. I ended on a very high note. I was patient, waited and looked for proper setups. But I was so limited. I ended up having to go back to trading options only on a cash account so that right away eliminated tons of possible trades I could have taken. But such is life.  The boys are happy and healthy. We are a happy healthy family and I have no complaints. The search for a job began at the end of September and I am surprised but I cant catch a good fit yet. I got a couple offers but pay is just not going to be enough so I search on. The trade life was going to be put on hold until I could save up at least a few thousand dollars from a new job. It was looking like options only for the next few years.  Then a mi...

Half Year Update

I just posted 2 posts that have been sitting unworked on for a couple months.  It is June 24 and I want to get a quick one out. Things are smoothing over. I have started using scripts to update my data. It now only takes about 20 seconds for me to complete my morning copy and paste routines. Safe to say thats huge.  Trading itself is going fine. I am still in drawdown from earlier this year gains but slowing myself down, not trading everyday, and waiting for better market environments is where I am at now. Currently long DOC, ENSG, and MEDP.  Sadly im running out of trading capital. I cant take as many trades as I would like but maybe thats not the worst thing. It does require me to get very speicifc about what I am trading. I only have X amount of capital, I must use it on the best setups.  I have not figured out a good routune. New born Bo/house still taking priority but I am keeping eye on setups still a few times a week. I have subbed to SATA, https://www.s...

New View

I must find a way to be faster. I do not have time like I used to.  I must create a minimalized compact view of all of kmy sheets into something that takes less than 10 minutes to get my overall view.  I created a market data summary sheet that looks at all the tabs in the original data sheet, and gives it all to me on 1 tab. Much faster copying and pasting. ---------------------------------------------- Day trading is not happening. Not for a few more months it seems. --------------- B Grade trades are techincal setups A Grade trades are technical setups with increasing fundamentals A+ Grade trades are technical setups with clear ATH increasing fundamentals that have led the industry. Price Shocks from a dip lead to Great Pullback buys on 1HR/4HR -Specialty Chem 3/27/24 -Energy / Finance on big drop 4/17/24 Eliminating Setups I am a techno fundamentalist trader. If I have a trade that does not have the best fundamentals, then it needs to be made up on the technical side...

Where Have I Been? #2

Baby boy number 2 is here. Beau Valens Klingsick. He did come 2 months early 2/27/24, and with complications. It is currently April 13th and I am sitting here in the NICU typing this out. He is doing well and we are expecting to be out of here to bring him home by May.  This has obviously compliacted my trading life drastically.  I cant stop trading. Just not going to happen. So I find a way. Swing trading has still been wokring very well for me as I slowly continue working on my spreadsheets and trying to get faster, more efficient with less time spent at the desk.  My main goal right now needs to be eliminating parts of my data recording process.  I have a lot of things I am tracking. It takes hours. Daily. Weekends take a few hours before I can even get to the charts. I do not have time to Day trade right now. I barely have enough time to swing trade. And I know if I was able to put more into it, I could be better. Main thing is tracking. Trends, industries, setup...

One of the strongest names out there and financials say it deserves it. ATH and big increases.  Obvious concern of too far already. But momentum and energy beginning to take over seems like a good trade to take.  Great score on fundamentals, the others deceent. Performance wise, clearly a leader.  Perfoemance in a good spot, M negative and Q has been positive for 161 with a tiny dip to negative only once. It is at a top spot on Q, but with M barely negative, if it can flip it looks like it led to more run on the Q. Que...

Strong tight setup, HTF charts love it with curl up MAs and taps. Obviously not as tight as I would like on W or M, but trying something with this one. Trend momentum continuation.  Clearly in a signifi...

M MAs are a ways away, so I went off of the W on this one. D MAs all super tight as well so risk is small. Just had earnings and beat expectations. Compared ot least year it is down though.  Market is seeing a sihft right now. Tech and Semi, offense sectos are losing steam and turning some trends lower. Whjile energy and defense and seeing 0s and changing from neg to positive. This being a leader already and seeing t...
