Just a Day Trader

Its been a very productive month. Ive changed the way I go about my LT business and it has 100% improved performance. As always theres issues and thats what I made my other LT post going more in depth looking at winners and losers and finding the commonalities. The biggest notable thing in my trading is less stress. Finally playing to my strengths and trading like it, I am not giving stocks a chance to prove me right. I enter the trade where I expect to be right. If I am not. I exit. No time to debate it and wait and sit in a red trade waiting for it to maybe turn green. It literally feels better to trade like this. Last week I talked about being in flow with the market. It was amazing how I could sense I was in that other worldy state just watching the tape go back and forth. I could feel the pressure or the lack of it. Just like last month when I did my scalp trades analysis to compare key points on winners and losers, now its time to do it for my LT trades. I waited a while because I needed to have a pretty good sample size and I needed to have enough frustrating losers for me to want to figure it out. And here I am. 1. Was it the first time the level came in play? 2. Had it visited the level before? 3. Had it broken the level before? 4. Had it broken multiple levels before? 5. Had it failed to stay above/under levels in the direction of my bias? 6. Had it failed a breakout against my bias? 7. Was trade around HTF at all? 8. If long above vwap? If short Under? 9. If long below vwap? If short above? 10. Was stock definitively trending in the direction of trade/bias? 11. Was there clear strength/weakness/trend/direction? 12. 1st hour? 13. Was trade entry after a failure? 14. Was there a TL break involved? 15. Was entry on a breakout? 16. Was trade entry on just a level/area touch? A C...

Looking like were topping out pretty good in the markets. Slowly getting more weak as we keep attempting higher so expecting some shorts to play out. Lots of names today. Some big gappers out there, lots of earnings. Shorts and longs. Problem yesterday was not staying for the bigger moves and not getting back in. Goals today are to fix that problem. If it is holding the level I want it to hold, I need in. ROKU Strong open pop above HTF level. Retraced to it and vwap and held multiple times. Saw buyers stepping up and got a starter. Not super tight risk but knew I needed to be in after buying signs. Broke new HOD. not a great entry and risk a bit skewed. New HOD got rejected hard so moving stop tighter. A lot to do today. Tons of names moving so keeping an eye on a lot. Air/cruise liners in play for sure, but unhappy with how they traded yesterday so im not thrilled with there setups for today. Ill keep an eye out if they clean up a little, but they are not the main focus today. SPY seems to have faked out all the shorts again here and now were gapping higher again out of this 2 day range. Bulls still winning so best trades more than likely on the long side. I do have some shorts as well. Big collection of TA trades, most looking long from failed moves lower, some gaps, some ATH pushes, some Earnings plays. None looking great premarket for a trade right at the bell so will have to let dust settle before any trades go off. Big day today, SPY gaping up again above 300 and into 304 before we saw a huge vol increase and sell off into the bell. Cruise/Airliners are popping. Looking for long continuation there. Ive got a lot of other beta names im looking at today. Mainly to the short side. Names like TSLA NVDA SHOP BYND TWLO DOCU all remaining weak while SPY is still up % wise. A lot of room for retracement in some of these names and a lot of failed longs got stuffed right away. Expecting to see some good moves. Yesterday just wasnt on my A game.
