November 2nd Week

 Last week was pretty slow. Took it slow. Didnt force nearly anything. Earnings playing out, lots of moves to digest. Will take some time for dust to settle and that is fine. Good for market, overall seeing great things out here. 

Last week only took 5 trades. I rewrote trade checklist in a more consistent manner. I took a deeper look at risk plan and discovered what my B setups really are. And how to manage risk on them. 

Really last week turned out to be a week I learned how to be better prepared. Just a couple things, but big things overall.


Monday

Only 2 on watch. There just isnt much consolidation out there. Im following Dans list and seeing if theres things I like alongside him, and really not much, only 1 im ok with trading. 

Market gapping up just a bit, no reason to expect trend not to continue. 

Nothing


Tuesday

Plenty on watch now. Market still ripping

FCX in and straight out. Great pop into D bo levels, retrace into vwap and VA, excellent bounce and pop, just totally stuffed asap. 

GREE had wild action, lost LOD then in 3 minutes ripped up a point and a half exploding into dbo, came into vwap and va, and bounced, in and added.

Market is dumping hard but were seeing good rel strength here. Maybe can keep it up, sell is accelerating. 

Didnt hold, cut on range breakdown

Think GREE was a mistake. Not clearly above vwap, wedged between and VA zone. Market conditions should have been the clear signal to avoid and wait for better. Super sell.

FINALLY looks like reset day. Names can pull in and we can see who is going to make the good ranges to bust out and make moves higher again. 


Wednesday

Looks like deeper pull ins. Things gapping down. No chance for triggers at open. Gonna have to sit and wait to see if theres anything for me. 

Nothing

Thursday

2 on my watch, decided to look at Dans list and add there too.

Market gapping higher ruining anything and all my setups. Seems like a nothing day still

Friday

Got 4 real good looking ones today. Clear theme EVs and Solar. Will see what happens. 

Solar had real strong open, missed big win fill on SPWR.

JKS hold strong while others pulling back in, looking like failure. At VA zone and holding, waiting for 61/vwap/VA reclaim to be in. Market weak,

Dropped under, quickly reclaimed with volume. Pulled back in, waiting on reclaim of vwap and 61 to be in, others holding higher. 

And popped, in. 

And immediately stuffed, giving time and space but problems already.

Not a damn thing to talk about this week. 3 trades. All losers. Not even missing any real wins. Things just gapping everywhere. Chasers market. Swingers market. Not me. 




PROBLEMS

-Tuesday I needed to be better discipline in avoiding GREE.

    -Under vwap, above VA, ultimately vwap decides.

    -Market clear sell no strength.

-Is it a problem im not trading? My edge is not present, mainly i believe from earning season. I could watch those names. Try and trade the momentum. Wait for range around vwap, trade the failed breaks into it, take the other direction. I guess I dont mind not trading. These times will happen again though. At least 1-2 weeks, 4 times a year. Im staying patient which is fine, but also super bored. Adding Dans watchlist to my own is the easiest way to add more to my playbook. We both have same triggers, same entries, same expectations. So as I sit here and ponder and wonder, I think I just have to deal.

11/30 DRC

 Last day of the month. Not much trading exactly to talk about. Big issue last week was speed. I was slow in almost all cases. Trying not to look too much into it. Took a few weeks off, its expected to take a bit to get back into the swing of things. Risk was main focus as a goal going forward. Correct size, consistent risk throughout every trade and setup for consistent results. That I did good with. Main things to focus on 1. Following entry criteria, making sure I trade what I am supposed to 2. Using correct size to reflect risk already determined by setup 3. Must be faster with ^^^ 4. Cut losses fast on adds. In and out, dont wait. 5. Follow management rules, up 1R/2R etc. 6. Take profits in 3rds.  7. Enter trade with small size if it is leaving without me. Big adds come in only if core is at price and action I want to see.  Market looks hot. Nothing but breakouts around. Gapping down a little, recovering already though into the open.
