12/1 DRC

 1st day of December we are gapping up huge. Pretty much a repeat of last time, expecting another giant sell off day to find buyers again. Kinda sucks I have all these longs planned, wont be good longs if market is selling all day so we shall see.

Not really anything to do yesterday, sat around, waited, market never found strength, and by the time it did I had given up on the day and left the desk. So really didnt miss much.

Main things to focus on

1. Following entry criteria, making sure I trade what I am supposed to

2. Using correct size to reflect risk already determined by setup

3. Must be faster with ^^^

4. Cut losses fast on adds. In and out, dont wait.

5. Follow management rules, up 1R/2R etc.

6. Take profits in 3rds. 

7. Enter trade with small size if it is leaving without me. Big adds come in only if core is at price and action I want to see.

NFLX

started oen right at breakout point, got in with buying and added small scalp win. SPY reversed and we slowed down so cut it all for small win to start.

Shortly after exploded higher as SPY and QQQs dumping. Not part of plan, cant regret it. 

EXPE

Sideways open. Retraced to prev hi and bo levels and held with good tape. In and added on moves higher to top TL and vwap. 

Started great but didnt have enough to bust out. Adds for a loss.

Tried adds again, got super tight and held.

Moved and broke, no big pop might fail

Slow grind higher, ripped lower lost all profit on adds tiny win. Core remains but not for long at this rate. 

Did make its way to HOD. Had plenty of chances to make new HOD so far, but cant get there. TL from lod almost caught up needs to pop now. If not all out on loss, dont want to give it all back like last time.  

Started dipping, all out. Looking back in on reset. 

DXCM

Overall trending higher, market strong. Came into vwap and prev hi and held with good vol cues. Increasing as we tick up again. 

Big spready name so gotta watch out and deal with it. Smaller size to start.

Ticked higher added. This name isnt exactly a momo name. Its going to be slow and take a while I dont think I want to treat this like I would AMD or NFLX. Its not gonna rip and explode like a wave I usually expect to see in those names. So in this case Im just adding to my core and letting it do its thing. 

Well damn, started ripping to HOD on low vol. Must see what pb looks like. Already securing a win. 

Market continues ripping higher. We have stalled here for a couple mins. A point shy of HOD. 

No pull in is a good pull in. Tape picked up we ticked higher again. 

Spread wide as a point and a half, ask just short of HOD.

Cant get there yet but tape is tighter as we still tick u. Market now pulling down. This name can dump a point in a flash. Have to deal still. 

Tl from pivot almost in play. Sucks to give up anything here but still see reasons to hold so I must. 

Spread tight into another HOD push. Needs it now. Going to start taking profits. Not seeing same tape buying. 

And got new HOD finally. Market still pushing lower. Into 325 with big offer, but taken out. We are making giant rising wedge, but good vol. Either way going to take half here to lock it in. Name can be vicious with pbs. 

And just like that cant get the fucking fill gave up 2 pts of profit on 1st take.

Stalled sideways, market severely sold off to vwap and were at TL. Exit all. Maybe reset later. 

Pretty good day. Managed myself very well. Stayed around for good big picture day trades, and still managed to get some good call swings in. DXCM CAKE PYPL all longs for now. Good entries waited for it to get to me.

Only thing I am concerned with today was missing the big NFLX move. I tried to get a call on but couldnt get the fill. Day trade wise, I am ok with missing that. SPY and QQQs were crashing at that moment and it had just failed its 1st push to bo level then stuck around prev hi. Thats alright, thats not how my best trades setup. Either way able to squeeze a small win and thats good.

EXPE a slower move than I thought. Ultimately did make it to just short of PT, but adds would not go for me. Noise and pullbacks got me out before the move could get there. Again its fine, I followed rules and prevented possible further loss. Just sucks it went down the way it did but thats how it be sometimes. Left core on and ultimately a winner.

DXCM good trade. Good action good tape. But damn slow mover especially with RVOL above 1 and market going parabolic higher. Took its damn time and to make matter worse, I even told myself before PT was hit, this name can flash dump in seconds ill have to watch out. And what do you know, PT hit, we dumped 2 pts in a flash and I couldnt get the fill to get out. Missed about another $100 on it. Calls are working well already though. 

Solid day. Speed was good. Math was good. Management was good. Trades are on I want to be in. Not A+ day, but A day.
